Custer Rod & Gun Club (CR&GC) May\/June 2024 Activities<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Club would like to thank all of the volunteers who came out and helped set up for the Spotted Eagle Day on May 4th as well as everyone who came out and partook in the activities. We had a great turn out and had alot of fun. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Club will again hold a Trap League. The League will run from May 28th to October 1st. See below for rules.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Action Pistol<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Action Pistol will be held every Thursday evening at 6 p.m. at the Sunday Creek pistol bays. Setup starts at 4 p.m.\u00a0ANY AND ALL HELP<\/strong>\u00a0would be greatly appreciated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Steel Challenge<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Steel Challenge matches are held every third Thursday of each month. This will be open to all club members and non-members, 22 rimfire and larger pistol calibers are allowed. The rules will be governed by the Steel Challenge Shooting Association (SCSA)<\/a>, however the club is not affiliated so no pre-registration is necessary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3D Archery<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jason Sibble is planning on the 3D Archery shoots on Fridays & possibly some Saturdays at Spotted Eagle. Check the CR&GC Facebook<\/a> page for times. Contact him on messenger for more information. Each week is a different setup. No class or division. Just laid back. Bow Hunter\/Free Style. (Range finders welcome.) All Ages. Score cards and water provided. Bring Bug Spray. Not necessary to be a member to shoot Fridays.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Skeet \u2013 Trap<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Trap is held every Tuesday afternoons 5 \u2013 5:30 p.m. and Skeet every Sunday at 3 p.m. out at the Spotted Eagle Recreation Area. Check the CR&GC Facebook<\/a> page for updates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jon Hofer Memorial 5-Stand<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

When we have the dates for the year pinned down they will be posted on the\u00a0Custer Rod and Gun Club webpage<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0facebook page<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Annual Keith Hall Annie Oakley Shoot<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We had a great turn out for Keith Hall Annie Oakley Shoot last year and we are planning on holding it again. When we have the date figured out it will be posted on the Custer Rod and Gun Club webpage<\/a> and facebook page<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Custer Rod & Gun Club 2024 Trap League<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

You must be a current Custer Rod and Gun Club Member to participate in the Clay League.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Awards will be presented at the annual banquet in February 2025. The awards will be determined at a later date.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The league period will run from May 28th through October 1st, 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Trap League \u2013 $20<\/p>\n\n\n\n

League fees must be paid before shooting a league round. Fees will be collected by Matt Lewin or Jeff Faycosh at the Spotted Eagle Range on range days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shooter must declare league score PRIOR<\/strong> to shooting the round. The score sheet will be retained by the range master and signed by the shooter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to the league fees, the shooter must pay the normal target fees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Target ammunition must be used, 7.5, 8, or 9 shot, 1 1\/8 ounce maximum weight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

No more than 2 League rounds will be shot per day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

League shoots will take place on regularly scheduled range days. Tuesday for Trap, Sunday for Skeet & 5 Stand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Trap League<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 11 League rounds must be fired to complete the league with only 10 rounds being scored, the lowest score will be dropped at the end of the league. Failure to shoot 11 rounds will cause you to forfeit your entry fees. At least 2 shooters must shoot the round with a 3rd person to pull and score. All rounds will be from the 16-yard position.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All club events are dependent on the weather so keep an eye on the Custer Rod and Gun Club <\/strong>webpage<\/strong><\/a> and <\/strong>facebook page<\/strong><\/a> for updates.
