After last year’s MILD winter, we really got our hopes up that we’d be able to shoot through the winter. Alas, it seems we’re destin to have a REAL Montana winter this year, and as such have canceled the January shoot.
We’ll try again in February and see what the weather bring. Fingers crossed!
Too bad. I was hoping to do some action pistol. I’ll participate even on a marginal day if the opportunity arises.

Unfortunately I was out to the range to pick something up from the clubhouse the other day and it’s fairly inaccessible. I was in my 4×4 pickup and wasn’t entirely convinced I was getting back out of the parking lot. I made it, but I don’t think I we could have gotten very many vehicles in and out. I wouldn’t even attempt to drive down the the pistol range. Plus the pistol bays were drifted in with snow pretty well.
I’d like to shoot in Feb. but it’s going to depend the weather, and how accessible the range is. Right now everything is melting off and the wind is trying to dry stuff out, so keep your fingers crossed! 🙂
